Sur and Taal translates to “melody” and “rhythm” which are key elements of traditional Indian Classical music. In recent years, ACA has begun exhibiting unlikely fusions of different cultures through the arts. In 2019, ACA presented its third installment of Sur and Taal a Kathak (classical dance style from Northern India) and Flamenco (traditional dance style from Spain) fusion. Both of these traditional dance forms are rooted in telling a story harmoniously with the rhythm and melody of live instrumentals.
